Simple Recipes to make!
Gloop-
Shopping list -Cornflour Home resources- water
Add 1 box of cornflour to a large bowl and slowly add the water until it mixes into a thick consistency.
You can add any washable toys to extend learning (dinosaurs, animals, cars) you can add spoons or forks and plastic plates to encourage imaginative play.
Playdough-
Shopping list – plain flour, oil, salt, food colouring (if wanted) cream of tartar (if wanting to store for more than a few days)
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
2 cups cold water (you can use hot if adult is mixing)
4 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon food colouring
Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl slowly add the wet ingredients and food colouring, use a spoon to mix until a dough like texture then roll out and knead until soft and non-sticky.
If the dough is too sticky add a small amount of flour to dry it out,
Keep wrapped in cling film in the fridge until it dries out.
Shortbread biscuits -
100g Margarine
150g Plain flour
50g Caster sugar
Pre heat oven to 170 degrees, Cream the sugar and margarine together in a bowl and slowly add the flour until it forms a dough
Roll out and use a cookie cutter or cut with a knife into rectangles
Put onto a baking sheet sprinkle with a little caster sugar and cook for 15/20 minutes
Leave to cool.
