Simple Recipes to make!

Gloop-

Shopping list -Cornflour        Home resources- water

Add 1 box of cornflour to a large bowl and slowly add the water until it mixes into a thick consistency.

You can add any washable toys to extend learning (dinosaurs, animals, cars) you can add spoons or forks and plastic plates to encourage imaginative play.

 

Playdough-

Shopping list – plain flour, oil, salt, food colouring (if wanted) cream of tartar (if wanting to store for more than a few days)

2 cups flour

1 cup salt

2 teaspoons of cream of tartar

2 cups cold water (you can use hot if adult is mixing)

4 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon food colouring

Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl slowly add the wet ingredients and food colouring, use a spoon to mix until a dough like texture then roll out and knead until soft and non-sticky.

If the dough is too sticky add a small amount of flour to dry it out,

Keep wrapped in cling film in the fridge until it dries out.

 

Shortbread biscuits -

100g Margarine

150g Plain flour

50g Caster sugar

Pre heat oven to 170 degrees, Cream the sugar and margarine together in a bowl and slowly add the flour until it forms a dough

Roll out and use a cookie cutter or cut with a knife into rectangles

Put onto a baking sheet sprinkle with a little caster sugar and cook for 15/20 minutes

Leave to cool.

Our Toddler room is FUN and bright with a lively atmosphere, where all children can actively
engage in exciting learning experiences. The activities set out throughout the day are based on children's interests and EYFS planned. The staff plan according to the EYFS framework covering a wide range of stimulating activities that challenge the individual needs of all children.

Every child is allocated a Key Person who is responsible for understanding and meeting the individual
needs of your child while monitoring, recording and evaluating progress through observation and assessment and a mixture of adult led/child initiated activities. Key persons will also regularly liaise
with you, so you can be involved in your child's development as much as possible. All staff are always on hand to offer support and guidance for your family.

Throughout the day staff encourage independence social skills peer interaction and positive relationships. Our planning is flexible and differentiated to meet the needs of all the children.

We have a role play area, separate sleep/rest area book corner creative area constructive area
PSRN area and Sensory Pod area.

Our fantastic outside garden area is accessed by our children during the day on a free flow systems (children's choice) some outside areas include - tyres secret garden balancing equipment story tellers chair climbing apparatus bubble rack etc etc etc.
