Parent/carer & Staff Memo - COVID 19

Rapid Testing

Luton Borough Council is encouraging people who live, work or study in the town, who DO NOT have any COVID 19 symptoms to come forward and take a new rapid lateral flow test which can provide results in 30 minutes.  Testing is a pilot being delivered in partnership with the council and NHS Test and Trace and is part of the Government's continuing drive to increase the availability of testing.  New Guidlines - If someone you live with has tested positive you, and the whole household must self-isolate  for 10 days from the start of the symptoms/or if no symptoms the start date of the positive test result.

Two walk in centres have been set up, which the public can access from 8am - 8pm 7 days a week;

Farley Community Centre, Delphine Close, Luton

Lwesey Community Centre Landrace Road Luton

A Third test centre will open on 21/12/2020 in Luton Central Library

18th December 2020 - 4th January 2021

Please note during the times above, please inform the Nursery if you are staff/child, and test positive for COVID 19, in order to determine if there would be any implications for others/re-opening the Nursery in the New Year, also to possibly advise others if they need to self-isolate.

Please contact the Nursery via email: whipperleynursery@hotmail.co.uk

Lateness

"Thank you" to parent/carers for being patient during these uncertain times, with regards to dropping off/collecting their child (staggered intake/gates opening).  Once the gate closes , you will need to bring your child to the Reception and sign your child in as being late.  Our aim is to keep all parent/carers/staff and children safe whilst in the playground, therefore the staggered intake will continue for the time being.  All lateness will be monitored , after the 2nd occasion of lateness during a term, Management will telephone the parent/carer to discuss the situation, and try and find a resolution, we will work with/support the parent/carer, however, we will be looking at the child's punctuality improving.

Please call/email Kim/Tracey (Management) should you have any worries/concerns or would like any advice or support.

Thank you for your co-operation, stay safe & keep well.
